Andrew Stoddard, VP & Publisher
As the publisher for Nelson Books, Andrew actively oversees the intentional development and strategic release of publications from New York Times and ECPA bestselling authors such as Max Lucado, Lysa TerKeurst, Ruth Chou Simons, John Eldredge, and Bob Goff. Throughout his career, he has worked with numerous acclaimed and bestselling authors including Michael Todd, Tim Tebow, John Mark Comer, Mark Batterson, Carlos Whittaker, and Erwin Raphael McManus. An avid champion of the written word, he seeks to publish creatively compelling, commercially impactful, and consistently faithful books.
Brigitta Nortker, Associate Publisher
Brigitta Nortker has worked in publishing for eleven years and joined Nelson Books in 2016. She is passionate about collaborating with writers who can speak to both a Christian audience and the general market and want to turn their great ideas into excellent books that will connect with an engaged audience. Throughout her career, she’s worked with authors such as Ruth Chou Simons, John Eldredge, and Jason Wilson. Some of her recent projects include: I’ll Be There (But I’ll Be Wearing Sweatpants) by Amy Weatherly and Jess Johnston, It Was an Ugly Couch Anyway by Elizabeth Passarella, and Attacking Anxiety by Shawn Johnson.
Jessica Rogers, Executive Editor
Jessica Rogers has been refining the written word for more than fifteen years. During the course of her career, she has worked with a number of bestselling authors, including Lysa TerKeurst, Ruth Chou Simons, and Michael Hyatt. A lifelong learner, she is a graduate of the University of Denver Publishing Institute and the Yale Publishing course. Her passion is providing a critical eye and a guiding hand to authors with meaningful eternal content. Jessica’s editorial focus is selectively dedicated to shaping material within a portfolio of commercially impactful publications as acquired by the publisher and Nelson’s acquisitions team.
Paul Pastor, Executive Editor
Paul has built a reputation as a dynamic creative partner who loves to see his authors achieve major creative and commercial impact. He has successfully stewarded the writing of a select list of authors including Dallas Willard, Philip Yancey, Justin Whitmel Earley, Tauren Wells, Lee Strobel, Rich Villodas, Melissa Dougherty, Carlos Whitaker, Eugene H. Peterson, Rod Dreher, Gov. John Kasich, Kyle Idleman, Dr. Ben Carson, and many more. Paul holds an MA in Biblical and Theological Studies from Western Seminary and is a candidate for Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at the University of St. Thomas. He is a widely published journalist, poet, essayist, and critic, and the author of several books. His writing and editorial work has won more than a dozen Evangelical Press Association awards, a prestigious Maggie award, numerous awards from ECPA’s and Christianity Today’s respective book awards, and other critical recognition. Paul works from his home state of Oregon, where he lives with his wife Emily, a classically-trained fine artist, and their three children.
Hanha Parham, Acquisitions Editor
Hanha Parham is passionate about publishing books that teach, equip, and disciple readers in the midst of the modern world. Combining thoughtful insights with hands-on creative and ministry experience, Hanha brings a fresh perspective in fostering transformative Christian messages. She holds a Master’s in Divinity with a concentration in pastoral counseling and is currently pursuing her PhD in Christian Leadership.
